Győr, 11 January 2022 – Audi Hungaria achieved outstanding production results in 2021: the company’s employees produced 1,620,767 engines, including 96,976 electric drives, thus bringing the share of e-engines in total production volume up to 6 per cent. In vehicle production, 171,015 cars rolled off the production line, a record in the history of Audi Hungaria. The company remains the largest employer in the region, with 11,983 employees as at 31 December 2021.

Győr, 11 June 2021 - Audi Hungaria places great emphasis on the education and high-level training of the next generation. For two decades, the company and its partner institutions have been successfully operating a dual vocational training system, where hundreds of young people acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in 14 professions every year. At the final exams this week, 152 students from Audi Hungaria’s dual vocational training programme demonstrated their skills at the company’s Training and Education Centre, at the company’s tool factory and at the Lukács Sándor Secondary School and College for Mechatronics and Engineering.

Audi Hungaria’s Vehicle Drive Development area, with its close to 400 highly qualified employees, follows electric drives from the pre-development phase through series development up to the support provided for series production. The area carries out the testing and inspection of electric drives, among others, with the help of back-to-back (i.e. B2B) benches and acoustic test benches.

Audi Hungaria produces more than 150,000 cars a year, and the premium quality of these cars can depend on “a hair’s breadth”, as the thickness of the layers applied to each body in the company’s paint shop - phosphate layer, cathodic dip, filler and primer paint, basecoat and colourless paint - is only about 120 µm, which is even thinner than a single human hair.

Audi Hungaria is committed to a more liveable, greener future, and is consistently progressing on the road to sustainability, considering the preservation of biodiversity a strategic objective. In this spirit, the Company (which has been carbon-neutral since 2020) has joined the "we4bee” initiative supported by the Audi Environmental Foundation, as part of which it has added a smart hive equipped with high-tech sensors to the apiary operating on the plant premises.
