Győr, May 18, 2020 – Audi Hungaria’s vehicle production has started two-shift operation today. Engine production is gradually switching to two-shift operation, initially with four-cylinder, six-cylinder and five-cylinder engine production.
"I am very pleased that we are able to start two-shift operations in some areas just a few weeks after the restart of production. We plan to gradually ramp up production to three-shift operation. I would like to thank the employees that they have adapted to the new working conditions in a very flexible and disciplined manner. We look to the future with confidence and are always ready to react flexibly to the volatile market situation," said Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria.
At Audi Hungaria, series production of the electric drives has now resumed single-shift operation.
As a result of the Corona pandemic, production at Audi Hungaria was temporarily suspended in mid-March in order to adapt the workplaces to the changed situation, thus ensuring the protection of the health of employees. The motivation of the Audi Hungaria team is exemplary, all protective measures are implemented in an extremely disciplined manner.
