Győr, 16 June 2017—A meeting was held between Prof. József Bokor (Vice-President), Prof. László Monostori (Director of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Institute for Computer Science and Control [MTA SZTAKI]) and Dr. Elisabeth Knab, Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources of AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt, about the challenges ahead of the automotive industry and future cooperation opportunities. After the meeting, they viewed the vehicle production process of AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt.
The Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Audi Hungaria made a cooperation agreement in 2015. Pursuant to this, they work jointly in outstanding automotive research projects and developments. The automotive industry and transport are major basic and applied research areas at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Institute for Computer Science and Control. Furthermore, MTA SZTAKI cooperates with the Fraunhofer Institutes, which operate Europe’s leading applied research network. MTA SZTAKI introduced the Excellence in Production Informatics and Control (EPIC) project, which receives priority support from the European Union. Part of the project is the Industry 4.0 sample system, which is funded by domestic resources (through the Operative Program for Economic Development and Innovation, “GINOP”). The system is currently under development and will be implemented at the Széchenyi István University of Győr.
The implementation of the planned mutual projects can further enhance the competitiveness of Audi Hungaria, the company that applies cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions.
