21 September 2015, Győr—AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft hosted the TT Owners Club of German TT fans.Members of the club visited the four-ring company in Győr, the birthplace of their favourite cars with 60 TTs between 18 and 20 September, as a stage of the “TT Birthplace Tour”. The Győr company entertained the TT-owners with interesting programmes including professional workshops.

The Győr company entertained the TT-owners with interesting programmes including an exclusive vehicle factory walkthrough and professional workshops. As part of the programme, the sports car owners were also taken to an excursion, when they visited the Benedictine Archabbey in Pannonhalma among others. As the peak of the three-day event, the design icons marched in the historic downtown of Győr.
“Our passion for the TT is something we all share with the TT Owners Club. Members of the club are just as enthusiastic about their TTs as we are about manufacturing these models here at Audi Hungaria”, Member of the Board of Managementfor Vehicle Production of Audi Hungaria Gerd Walker said.
The series production of the first generation of Audi TT began in 1998. It was followed by the second generation sports cars in 2006. Then, in 2009, production of the Audi TT RS was launched. The 500,000th Audi TT was produced in Győr in 2013. It was driven by a 2-liter TFSI engine, the 25 millionth engine that was produced by the company. This year, Audi Hungaria was expanded from engine factory to a vehicle factory covering production in its entire depth. Besides Audi A3 Limousine and Cabriolet, the Audi TT Coupé and the third generation of the TT Roadster are also produced in Győr since 2014.
