Great success on the second Audi Hungaria Volunteer Day

• More than 600 employees have taken part in 36 charitable projects in and around Győr

• Three priority projects for those in greatest need

12 September 2015 – This year, the employees of AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. have given proof of their commitment again: the second Audi Hungaria Volunteer Day surpassed last year’s success by far. More than 600 employees worked as volunteers on 36 projects in and around Győr.

“I am pleased that so many of our employees have taken part in the second Audi Hungaria Volunteer Day. We have carried out truly remarkable projects in our home town, Győr and its vicinity”, Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources at Audi Hungaria Dr. Elisabeth Knab said. “Our commitment and corporate responsibility reach beyond the factory site. Our goal is to make a significant contribution to raising the standard of living in the Győr region through our work.”

Audi Hungaria employees have initiated various health, social, educational, environmental and sports related projects, and they realised them together. Three projects received particular support: “Renovation of the Institute for Mental Disabilities” in Koroncó, “Refurbishment of the Home for Autism” in Mindszentpuszta and “Planting a garden for the Family Support Agency” in Győr. All three projects are a significant contribution to raising the standard of living for those in need.

Additionally, numerous schools, kindergartens, retirement homes as well as playgrounds and sports grounds have been renovated thanks to the employees of Audi Hungaria. This was the first year our colleagues realised projects farther away from Győr, in Komárom or Pápa, among others.
 

It is a goal of Audi Hungaria to establish a tradition with the Volunteer Day, one that is supported by a wide basis in our staff. There was such a great interest for the event at the company that both the number of projects and volunteers were doubled.
