Starting the mass productions of the Audi TT Coupé and Roadster was another important milestone in the history of our company and a significant step towards a successful future" emphasized Dr. h. c. Thomas Faustmann, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria. "Thanks to the highest production volume since the founding of the company and the numerous innovations we had reason for delight in the area of engine production as well. With these, we made a significant contribution to the growth strategy of the Audi Group and secured our position as the central engine supplier of the Group."

In 2014, the engine range of Audi Hungaria consisted of 235 variants – four- to twelve-cylinder engines, in the power range of 63kW/86HP – 449kW/610HP. Audi Hungaria increased the logistics area of its tool manufacturing plant by 5,000 square metres which satisfies the increased needs of the small series production.

In 2014, the company made significant investments in the field of technology development as well: construction works of a new building have begun at the Engine Development Department and – following its completion this year – new test stands will be placed into service. Furthermore, Audi Hungaria has provided Széchenyi István University with a new vehicle development lab.

In 2014, the company further expanded its vocational training infrastructure and commissioned new learning stations. Over the last year, 130 students received their craft certificates in the dual vocational training system of the engine and vehicle manufacturer.

The cooperation with Széchenyi István University plays an important role in supporting the fresh supply of graduates. In the last year, expansion of the Győr/Pér airport was completed. Thanks to the investment, the capacity of the airport has increased which in turn contributes to the company's increasing flexibility and efficiency. Over 30,000 passengers use the fast flight connection between the production plants in Ingolstadt and Győr every year.

AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. strives for premium quality in the manufacturing of its products and also in the areas of energy efficiency as well as the conservation of the environment. With this in mind, a facility was commissioned in 2014 which can generate CO2-free energy with the utilization of geothermal energy. The energy comes from an artesian well that can be found near Pér. Consequently, Audi Hungaria will cover 60% of its heat energy needs from CO2-free sources and by 2018, it will have reduced the company’s energy consumption by 25%.

"In an ever-changing environment it is essential to follow our commitment for the ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ and implement our company's strategy in a consistent manner. I trust that we will continue to write the success story of Audi Hungaria with the help of our enthusiastic colleagues."
