Győr, 16 June 2014 - AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. will continue its professional training this year. A total of 160 trainees will start their professional training in 11 different professions such as: vehicle manufacturer, car mechanic, body painter or tool manufacturer. Some 130 trainees started their practical training today at the Győr premises of Audi and will be joined by 30 additional graduated youngsters by 30 July. Audi Hungaria was the first in Hungary to introduce a dual vocational training system back in 2001. Since then professional trainees put their theoretical knowledge acquired in vocational schools into practice at the premium manufacturer.
"We are proud to welcome 160 young trainees to Audi Hungaria," said Dr. Elisabeth Knab, Managing Director for Human Resources of Audi Hungaria. "Our future lies in the highly trained new generation. The recognized system of dual vocational training helps us to achieve this goal, and it has become a determining element of our human resources strategy. After the practice-oriented training, our trainees are prepared to start their professional careers."
Half of the trainees start their training at the so-called "learning isles" in production. The linking of practice-oriented professional training with production makes the training more efficient and more valuable.
The other half of the trainees familiarize themselves with the latest production technologies and equipment in the Training Centre of Audi Hungaria. Besides the robotic cabins and IT training rooms, the 2,600 square meters of the training centre feature the latest labs and professional rooms for electronics, pneumatics, drive technology, vehicle diagnostics, body and vehicle technology. In this facility nearly 120 professionals of the Audi Academy ensure the highest level of education.
Within the framework of apprenticeship training, the company has been successfully cooperating with the following institutions: Lukács Sándor Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering Vocational School and Engineering School, the Pattantyús Ábrahám Géza Industrial School and General Cultural Center and the Kossuth Lajos Secondary and Vocational School.
The company has received a number of awards for its activities in the field of vocational training. In March, Audi Hungaria was awarded the Vocational Prize of the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce with the establishment of training isles integrated in production.
