Audi Hungaria still the ”most attractive employer“

Győr, March 6, 2014 – This year again AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. is the “most attractive employer” of Hungary. This is the sixth time in a row that the company is at the top of the list. The Employer Brand Research was conducted by HR Consultancy Aon Hewitt and AIESEC – an international organisation of university students – in cooperation with CV Online job platform. In 2014 it was 7 700 people -60% experienced employees and 40% starting their career – participated in the research and expressed their opinion on 243 companies operating in 13 branches of industry.

A compatible remuneration system, with several other benefits, such as the diverse professional and non-professional further training programmes are yet another important element of the success.

The Employer’s Brand Research examined the attraction of companies as employers, the incentive system, recruitment and entry programmes, the remuneration offered and the development opportunities.

Last year over 45 000 applications reached Audi Hungaria, which is a proof of the company’s attraction and popularity. Now in Audi Hungaria there are over 10 500 employees, only last year their number grew by 1 600 experts in their field. In addition, in dual vocational training currently 250 trainee skilled workers are being trained in 13 trades. Professionals are especially sought-after in the area of producing new vehicles, where currently the A3 Limousine and the A3 Cabriolet are produced. This year will see the start of the serial production of the third generation TT.

Offering support for finding new professionals is a central element of Audi Hungaria’s recruitment programme. Students and those with a new degree can acquaint themselves with the processes, technologies and products of the company under the auspices of the “Audi Adventure trainee and international trainee program“, and they can further develop their knowledge.
Last year 620 students spent their trainee period in Audi Hungaria, and 119 former trainees became employees of the company. Those interested can get to know to the company at job fairs, during factory visits and professional days.

Audi Hungaria cooperates with István Széchenyi University and the University of Technology and Economics of Budapest in several research and development areas and professional projects. The Department for Vehicle Development founded in 2013 is the fourth Audi department at the University of Győr. The company supports the successful work of the universities with a series of lectures and professional talks. In addition to being an attractive employer, the diverse cooperation with universities and securing a future for the next generations is an important element of the long-term HR strategy.
