Audi Hungaria Welcomes 10,000th Staff Member

Audi Hungaria’s success story continues: Norbert Honfi (28), the 10,000th Audi employee started his career with the company today, joining the team in charge of four-cylinder engine production. From the beginning of 2013, about 1,300 new staff members were recruited by the vehicle manufacturer.

Over the past two years, the company hired more than 3,000 employees, with most of them joining the new vehicle factory where mass production has been started recently. The success of Audi Hungaria is also reflected in the recognition of the company: based on surveys conducted by the AIESEC International University Students Organisation and Aon Hewitt HR Advisory Company, Audi was named the “Most Attractive Employer” in Hungary for the past five years. “Audi Hungaria has remained an attractive employer in the labour market. Our associates are not only provided secure workplaces but also a wide range of development opportunities”, emphasized Dr. Erzsébet Knáb, Managing Director for Human Resources.

“Our highly qualified staff members contribute to the success of our company significantly. Thanks to their enthusiasm, Audi Hungaria continues to develop”, said Achim Heinfling, Managing Director for Engine Production. “It is an important moment for us to welcome the 10,000th staff member to our team.”

Dr. Erzsébet Knáb and Achim Heinfling personally greeted Norbert Honfi. The new staff member comes from Northern-Hungary, and he moved to Győr specifically for his new job. “It was a goal I set for myself to be working at the world’s most significant engine manufacturer, Audi Hungaria. I am very much looking forward to the new challenges and the opportunities that the future holds”, said Norbert Honfi on his first day on the job.
