Audi Hungaria Tool Shop is expanding

• Investment to the value of 16.5 million euros
• Approximately 60 new jobs

Topping out ceremony at AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. Tool Shop: over the next six months the area of the Tool Shop will grow to almost twice its present size, to 28,000 square metres. In the future, the small series manufacturing of  body parts will be located on around 10,000 square metres in the extended tool shop. The sum of the investment amounts to 16.5 million euros. In connection with the expansion, the company will create approximately 60 new jobs by 2013.

 “With the extension, the capacity of the tool shop will be increased, and an opportunity created for technical development and optimisation. In this way we provide premium quality under the best conditions”, says Thomas Faustmann, executive chairman of Audi Hungaria.

 The Tool Shop operates as a Business Unit of Audi Hungaria. With the manufacturing of body parts in small series, it has become a reliable supplier for the sporty Audi RS models. At present, more than 80 different body parts are manufactured for 11 vehicle projects. Body parts produced in Audi Hungaria include external components for the RS5 and R8.

 The Tool Shop in Győr was opened in 2005. Since 2008, it has operated as a Business Unit of Audi Hungaria. More than 380 employees work in this area. The expansion creates an opportunity for optimisation, for increasing capacity and for technical development in all fields of manufacturing in the Tool Shop – so  in manufacturing equipments, in tool factory and in small series production of car-body parts.
