AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. shows significant growth in every area: with investments to the value of 210 million euros* (88 million euros)** in the first six months, the company has more than doubled its investments relative to the first six months of the previous year. Production figures also show growth. Up till the end of June this year 938,903 (876,932) engines have been manufactured in Győr. Relative to the first six months of the previous year, this represents a 7.1 percent rise. Vehicle manufacture is also characterised by growth. 24,542 (21,493) vehicles left the production line in the first six months, which is 14.2 percent more than in the first six months of 2010. Sales revenue amounted to 2.73 billion euros (2.379 billion euros; +14 percent).

In this way, we can offer our employees great prospects for the future“ – says Thomas Faustmann, Chief Executive Officer of Audi Hungaria. “Both the increasing production volume and the positive financial indices for the first six months provide evidence for the success of our company.“
With investment of the sum of 210 million euros in the first six months, the total value of projects actualised by Audi in Győr since the company was founded in 1993 rose to 4.255 billion euros.
Between January 2011 and June of the same year 24,542 vehicles were produced – including 11,320 Audi TT Coupés, 8,523 A3 Cabriolets, 4,190 Audi TT Roadsters and 509 Audi RS 3 Sportbacks. Manufacture of the RS 3 Sportback series was launched at the beginning of the year.
During the first six months, the jubilee 20 millionth engine in the history of the company was produced. This year the company is expanding its Experimental Engine Production Centre, in connection with which a separate building will be constructed to combine the development and manufacture of experimental engines. The Audi TT RS 2.5 litre turbo-charged FSI engine has once again been chosen as “International Engine of the Year”.
On 30 June 2011 the number of staff employed by the company reached 6,705 (5,694 on 30 June 2010). During the first six months 567 new employees began work in Audi Hungaria. There is continuing great demand for both skilled workers and graduate applicants. Based on a joint survey by Aon Hewitt and the AISEC, this year Audi Hungary was awarded the title of the “Most Attractive Company” for the third time. With expansion of the plant, the company either directly or indirectly enables more than 15,000 people to make a living.
