New managing director at Audi Hungaria

Ulrich Minke is appointed Managing Director responsible for Vehicle Production at AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft as of 1 July 2011. The new managing director comes to the Hungarian company from AUDI AG in Ingolstadt. Thus the management of Audi Hungaria now has five directors.

Ulrich Minke was born in Gladbeck, Germany in 1953. He has been working in the Audi Group for almost 30 years. He started his career at Audi in systems design in Ingolstadt in 1981. In 1983 he changed to logistics; he became the head of the sub-department for production program development and control, and from 1984 he was the head of the whole department. Between 1988 and 2010 he was responsible for various logistics and service areas in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm. From November 2010 he was the project manager of the project “Vehicle Production Győr”, in the framework of which he is responsible for the planning, and in the future also for its direction.

From now on, the new managing director is at the head of the company with Thomas Faustman, Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr. Johannes Roscheck, Managing Director of Finance, Achim Heinfling, Managing Director of Production, and Richárd Rozman, Managing Director of Human Resources.

In the coming years, Audi Hungaria will be extended into a car factory covering the whole production process. The company will thus realize an investment of 900 million euros and create 1,800 new jobs. From 2013, an annual 125,000 vehicles will leave the production lines.
